Saturday 18th September

‘dawn chorus - north & south banks’

Jez riley French

‘for the past 3 decades Jez riley French has been exploring the world through the art of field recording. This new composition, drawing on many hours of recordings made on both banks of the river humber &, presents us, as always, with something more than mere documentary. Listening to the slow unfurling of daybreak one begins being drawn in to a deeply personal & emotionally charged creative sensibility with the uncanny knack of allowing us to

re-listen to our surroundings’
